HOW WIND WARRIOR WORKS

Wind Warrior combines a vertically vented two-canopy design with a flexible fiberglass structure. In strong gusts, the canopy can shift slightly toward an oval shape, helping direct moving air toward the back while the large vertical vents give that air a pathway to escape.

The Wind Warrior design is built around a simple idea: reduce the amount of air that becomes trapped beneath the canopy. Less trapped air means less wind resistance for the user to manage while the overlapping canopy continues to provide rain protection.
Wind enters the canopy.
A conventional canopy can catch a gust and allow pressure to build underneath it. Wind Warrior starts by addressing that trapped-air problem.
The shape can respond.
The fiberglass structure remains supportive while retaining flexibility. In strong gusts, the canopy can change slightly toward a more oval shape instead of remaining a rigid circle.
Air is redirected and released.
The more oval shape acts much like a wind tunnel, helping direct moving air toward the back. Large vertical vents then provide a pathway for that air to escape, reducing wind resistance the user has to manage.

BORN IN THE WINDY CITY
A Chicago problem became a different way to design an umbrella.
Wind Warrior was born on the South Side of Chicago in Hyde Park. Frequent walks downtown and to the museums meant seeing the same failure again and again: strong gusts between tall buildings and winds off Lake Michigan inverted umbrellas, left users exposed to the rain, and sent broken umbrellas into trash cans across the city. The question became simple: why keep building umbrellas that only fight the wind? Wind Warrior was designed to redirect and release it instead.
